Refund policy
At Appleby North Paint, we are committed to providing Burlington with the highest quality Benjamin Moore products. We want you to be satisfied with your purchase; however, due to the custom nature of paint mixing, we adhere to a strict return policy.
Please review the guidelines below before making your purchase.
1. Final Sale on Tinted Paint
Please choose your colors carefully. Once a can of paint has been tinted (color added) or customized to your specific order, it is non-returnable and non-refundable.

We cannot accept returns on tinted paint because the color is unique to your order and cannot be resold.

This applies to all Benjamin Moore paints, stains, and primers that have been altered from their factory-white or base state.

We highly recommend purchasing a Color Sample (pint) or utilizing our color chips in-store to verify your color choice before purchasing larger gallons.
2. Returns on Untinted Paint & Supplies
We accept returns on untinted paint cans (factory bases) and unopened painting supplies (brushes, tape, rollers, etc.) within 10 days of purchase.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

Unopened and unused: The product must be in the same condition that you received it.

In original packaging: Paint cans must have the original seal intact and be free of dents, rust, or spills.

Accompanied by a receipt: Proof of purchase is required.
3. How to Return (In-Store Only)
As a local business, we do not accept returns via mail or courier. All returns must be processed in person at our Burlington location.
Steps to return an item:

Bring the eligible item(s) and your proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation email) to our store.

Visit the service counter.

One of our associates will inspect the item to ensure it meets our return criteria.

4. Refunds
Once your return is inspected and approved in-store, we will process your refund immediately.

Refunds will be applied to your original method of payment.

Please note that while we process the refund instantly, it may take your bank or credit card company several business days to post the refund to your account.
5. Defective or Damaged Items
In the rare event that you receive a defective product (e.g., a factory defect with the paint formula or a broken tool), please bring it to the store immediately so we can assess the issue and provide an exchange or solution.
